グリオ（Griot）：
グリオとは、西アフリカの歴史家、物語の語り部、賛美の歌手、詩人、音楽家。グリオは、口頭伝承の宝庫としての役割や機能を持っているため、吟遊詩人と呼ばれることもある。 彼らはまた、王族の顧問としての立場から、指導者と見なされている。
A Griot is a West African historian, storyteller, praise singer, poet, or musician. The griots are sometimes called a bard, as theyhas the roll and/or function as a repository of oral tradition. They are also seen as a leader due to their position as an advisor to royal personages.
Un griot est un historien, conteur, chanteur de louange, poète ou musicien ouest-africain. Les griots sont parfois appelés barde, car ils ont le rôle et/ou fonctionnent comme dépositaire de la tradition orale. Ils sont également considérés comme un leader en raison de leur position de conseiller auprès des personnages royaux.
